Apex Trader Funding 100k payout rules, explained simply
Prop firm payout rules are often confusing. Here are the Apex Trader Funding 100k's, in plain English and with the real numbers, checked on Apex Trader Funding's own website on Sep 26, 2026. When Apex Trader Funding changes a rule, this page changes too.
In 30 seconds
- Earliest first payout: about 8 days after you buy, if you pass at the first try on the fewest days the rules allow.
- You can only withdraw profit above $103,100 (the first $3,100 of profit stays in the account as a buffer).
- Each payout is capped: $2,000 (1st), $2,500 (2nd), $3,000 (3rd-4th), $4,000 (5th-6th).
- You keep 100% of what you withdraw.
- Between payouts you need roughly $1,250 of new profit (5 days × $250).
- How often: 2x/month.
Before your first payout
- Pass the evaluation: reach the $6,000 profit target without hitting the $3,000 max loss.
- Pay the $59 activation fee to start the funded account.
- Grow the balance above $103,100. That's the buffer: money below it can't be withdrawn.
- Days needed: 5 days ($250 min).
- Consistency rule on payouts: your best day can't be more than 50% of your total profit. Example: if your best day is $1,000, you need at least $2,000 of total profit.
- Your request must be at least $500.
How much you take home
- Payout cap: $2,000 (1st), $2,500 (2nd), $3,000 (3rd-4th), $4,000 (5th-6th).
- Profit split: you keep 100% of what you withdraw.
Example: $5,100 of profit in the funded account
Getting funded costs $138 at the first try; with about $3,600 of profit, the first payout pays it back.
After the first payout
- Make about $1,250 of new profit before the next payout (5 days × $250).
- Payout frequency: 2x/month.
- Typical processing time: ~5 days.
- Path to a live account: 6 payouts max per PA.
- Scaling: position limits grow as your profit grows.
What can cost you a payout
- Intraday trailing drawdown: the floor sits $3,000 below your highest balance at any moment, open profits included, and moves up in real time. This is the strictest type: a winning trade that turns around can cost you the account.
- Breaking the consistency rule doesn't fail the account, but it blocks the payout until your profit is spread over more days.
